  Two new plays for 2008...

Christmas on Boulder Mountain

and

Another Bloomin' Christmas Carol

Two original Non-flammable Dragon Tales written and performed by our talented puppeteers.

The premium performances of Christmas on Boulder Mountain & Another Bloomin' Christmas Carol took place the third weekend of November 2008 at the Philadelphia Street Playhouse.

Christmas on Boulder Mountain finds Scrunch the young dragon,joined by his T.A.(teacher's Assistanct), Pilfer as they attempt to deliver garbage cakes for Christmas. Joining them is his old friend, Sir Pilpot, and some new characters.

Christmas on Boulder Mountain was written by Les Swentosky & Chip Engelman.

Another Bloomin' Christmas Carol is the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge. His journey, Scrooge meets the spirits of Christmas & one other special spirit.

Another Bloomin' Christmas Carol was adapted by Bethany Geiger.

Both shows were performed by the puppeteers Hannah Edgar, Chip Engelman, Amber Engleman, Bethany Geiger, James Lydick, Jenny Norton, and Les Swentosky.

Scrunch

The Biggest Chicken in the County

Two original Non-flammable Dragon Tales written and performed by our talented puppeteers.

The premium performances of Scrunch & The Biggest Chicken in the County took place the first weekend of May 2008 at the Philadelphia Street Playhouse.

Scrunch is a young dragon, who is forced to leave his beloved mother to finish his schooling. He is accompanied by the Teacher's Assistant, Mr. Pilfer. On Scrunch's quest on learning to be a dragon he makes an unlikely friend, the knight, Sir Pilpot.

Scrunch was written by Les Swentosky.

The Biggest Chicken in the County is a story of Leroy, a dragon raised by Ma & Pa Poulet as a chicken, who by the geers of his brother roosters, Frank & Leroy, runs away from the farmyard. On his journey home he enconters the Foxes, Wanda & Wendel.

The Biggest Chicken in the County was written by Bruce Dries.

Both shows were performed by the puppeteers Bethany Geiger, James Lydick,Jenny Norton, Anthony Tuell and Les Swentosky.

Alice in Wonderland

An original adaptation, combining live actresses and amazing puppets.

The premiere performances of Alice in Wonderland took place in the summer of 2006 at the Philadelphia Street Playhouse.  Read More...

The show stars a trio of young actresses in the live-action role of Alice, each who took the stage on consecutive weekends: Bethany Geiger, Kaitlin Cawley, and Felecia Rowley. Rounding out the cast are puppeteers Bruce Dries, James Lydick, R.L. Stoerkel, and Les Swentosky.

Adapted by Bruce Dries from the Lewis Carroll book, the puppet show was presented as part of a grant with the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, the regional arts funding partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

The Quest

A tale of humor, wonder, and intrigue. Andragone and his knight-in-training, Droop, are on a perilous journey. Can they solve the riddles and rescue the Princess Lyra?

The Wizard Feud
